Fun Fact: The 2006–07 season was a turbulent season for Bayern Munich. After a poor run of results, head coach Felix Magath was sacked in February 2007 and replaced by Ottmar Hitzfeld. Bayern eventually finished fourth in the Bundesliga, securing only UEFA Cup qualification. Despite the struggles, Dutch striker Roy Makaay remained prolific, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 18 goals in all competitions.
